This album results from our long-standing fascination with sounds of the Carpathians, the Balkans and the Orient, with music of places and people existing in the borderland of cultures, with the world of different experiences, customs, beliefs and languages. We have also found there a universal language which joins lives of seemingly isolated groups of people, a musical dialect which expresses all that is common - happiness, passion, longing, sadness - "the true speech". It is vibrant with its own life, independent from cultural, geographical or political borders. The musical "true speech" resist the passage of time. Distant but also somehow close Romanian "doina", Bulgarian "horo", Greek "sirto" or Turkish "karsilama" alternate with each other and surprise with their new faces again and again. This mishmash of sounds from South-Eastern Europe is created usually by Gypsy musicians. Inspired by them, we try to arrange this multicultural mosaic in our way, from the beginning...
